The 13 members meet regularly and have produced two reports: one outlining the development and work of the network itself and the second identifying current support needs, service and gaps. Its aims are:

  • To encourage and support a healthy, effective and well-informed voluntary sector
  • To identify the needs and advocate on behalf of the voluntary sector in Manchester
  • To improve the capacity of the voluntary sector and to ensure its contribution is valued as an equal partner
  • To promote choice and availability of support
  • To work together in order to be jointly proactive on common concerns and issues
  • To facilitate an integrated response to the needs of the voluntary and community sectors.
