Volunteering is an excellent way of gaining new skills and experience, meeting new people and improving your prospects!

VAM Volunteering Helpline
The Volunteering Helpline closed on 1st October 2004. VAM had been supporting this project from its own funds for the past year and unfortunately we have been unable to secure any additional funding to run this project. It is hoped that the closure is only a temporary measure and that the City of Manchester will have a volunteer service in due course.

However, in the meantime, if you want to volunteer and you are under 25, you can contact the Manchester Youth Volunteering Project on 0161 223 2855 or by email at myvp@myvp.org.uk. If you are over 25 you can go to www.yearofthevolunteer.org or www.do-it.org where you can find volunteering opportunities available in Manchester.

If you require volunteers you can still use the pages of VAM News or vam-email Bulletin to appeal for help.
