I'd like to say thanks to all those who have passed on their appreciation that 'VAM is back'. And also thanks for the compliments about our newly designed & developed website.  From the feedback we have received so far you seem to like it.  Please feel free to drop me a line (hannaht@vamanchester.org.uk) if you do have any comments or suggestions and I'll see if I can implement them.   

 On a similar note a number of organisations have aproached me over the last month to seek advice on how they can create their own affordable website.  I've already talked about the benefits of Drupal (see here for my The Pro's of Drupal article) but I'm aware that some organisations require an even sheaper alternative.  And so I have looked into a variety of options including Word Press & the Community Website Builder. They are great resources that allows charities, non-profit making organisations and volunteer led groups or organisations to build their own website FREE of charge. It may not be as sophisticated as hiring a web developer but it is a good free alternative.
